Holography
CAE uses a so-called statistically optimised method of acoustic near field holography, also enabling working with irregular microphone distribution.
The measurements for holography must be made in the acoustic near field and the microphone intervals must be less than half the wavelength, making application at higher frequency ranges costly. On the other hand, especially for lower frequencies, better geometric resolutions can be achieved than when using beamforming.
Therefore, the holography method extends the application spectrum of the Noise Inspector in the low-frequency range. At the same time, the same microphone array as for the beamforming measurements can be used. |
