The acoustic camera - the Noise Inspector's functions
Annoyance caused by excessive noise and its avoidance play an ever-increasing role when planning machines, workplaces, means of transportation and traffic routes. As well as reducing existing noise by using noise protection walls, insulating materials, encapsulation or producing counter sound, reduction of the development of noise, that is to say noise emission, remains a primary concern.
Instead of reduction, noise optimisation is often the target, using sound design in order to provide products with a pleasant ring.
